Geoff Eddowes, Board Member
Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health
Senior Vice President, Hospital Operations
Interim Chief Operating Officer
As a Board Member for Unitas Communities, I am delighted to share some thoughts on why I chose to take on this role and how my industry experience shapes my contributions. When I first considered joining the Unitas Board, I was immediately drawn to the opportunity to work alongside two outstanding organizations with strong reputations for quality and integrity. The leadership team’s vision and the remarkable sense of community within Unitas made my decision to serve an easy one. I am proud to be associated with a group that is committed to making a positive impact.
My background in senior living, coupled with my current experience in acute care, allows me to bring a unique perspective to the Board. I strive to bridge the gap between these two essential levels of care, helping us see how they can complement one another as we address the evolving healthcare needs of the residents. By fostering collaboration and sharing insights, the Board can develop strategies that support both immediate and long-term goals for Unitas.
Looking ahead, I am confident that Unitas Communities is poised for a bright future. Our mission-based approach, with residents at the heart of every decision, lays a solid foundation for ongoing growth and success. The leadership team’s dedication and commitment to doing what is right ensures we will continue to thrive. With these guiding principles, I believe Unitas will keep expanding its positive reach and remain a trusted resource for those we serve.
Serving on the Board is both an honor and a responsibility, and I am excited to help shape the direction of Unitas Communities as we move forward together.
