As a family of faith-based, not-for-profit Life Plan Communities serving seniors, Unitas Communities is focused on the Moravian Church’s emphasis on living its motto: “In essentials, unity, in non-essentials liberty, and in all things love.”
The organization was established in 2023 to serve as a parent company when Moravian Manor Communities and Morningstar Living formed a strategic affiliation, under which shared services and future endeavors will be developed. The name Unitas comes from the Moravian heritage, with the Moravian Church officially known as Unitas Fratrum (Unity of Brethren) since 1457.
The mission, vision, values, and philosophy of care and service of its communities are based upon building strong and respectful relationships between residents and staff, as well as with the families, friends of the residents, and clients we serve.
Each member organization under Unitas Communities maintains its own separate corporate identity and operates separately both financially and legally, while sharing key services and resources. This allows the communities to capitalize on shared strengths and secure their future.

Board of Directors
The Unitas Communities Board of Directors is comprised of representation from both communities as well as that of the Eastern District Synod of the Moravian Church, who sponsored each of the communities years ago to originally serve their aging church population.

About Moravian Manor Communities
Moravian Manor Communities is a faith-based, not-for-profit Life Plan Community located in the historic town of Lititz, PA, featuring two campuses.
The Founders Campus offers residential living, assisted living, personal care, memory support, skilled care and short-term rehabilitation. The Warwick Woodlands campus opened in 2016 based on a newer traditional neighborhood design for active adults.
Moravian Manor Communities is a founding partner of Your Neighborhood Connection, a home care services agency in Lititz.
About Morningstar Living
Morningstar Living is a faith-based, not-for-profit Life Plan Community located in the center of historic Nazareth, PA, with two campuses.
The Moravian Hall Square campus opened in 1988 and offers residential living, personal care, memory care, nursing care and short-term rehabilitation. The Heritage Village campus opened in 2018 as an active adult community for people aged 60 years and over.
Morningstar Living also owns and operates Morningstar Senior Solutions, a home care agency business serving clients throughout Lehigh Valley, PA.
